In 2014 3 members of the Shreveport Americana/folk/bluegrass band Magnolia Mae (Trent Daugherty, John Garcia, and Stevey Hensley) started a side project with the help of Alex Troegel who was playing around patios as a solo artist at the time. The group worked through that summer learning popular southern rock and Texas country covers and began playing the local bar scene.
As 2014 came to an end Ryan Alexander was added to the line-up on the drums allowing Garcia to come out front and round out the guitar and vocal sound that OWR's fans have come to love. They began writing original music and recorded their first record at Sandbox Studios in Shreveport with Darren Osborn producing.
They have played in support of Charlie Robison, Stoney Larue, Mark Chesnut, Sammy Kershaw, Rodney Adtkins, Confederate Railroad, and most recently Craig Morgan.
